GREAT PAPER® PRODUCTS ARE
SUSTAINABLY SOURCED
All in for forests. The sentence is short but important.
Just as we depend on forests, forests depend on us. At the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) we unite citizens, businesses, governments, and NGOs under a common goal: protecting healthy, resilient forests for all, forever.

HIGH PROTECTION VALUE
From endemic species to religious shrines, all natural habitats – especially forests – inherit conservation values.

FOREST LANDSCAPE
The complete forest landscape (IFL) is the last large forest area without supporting each other, which is not disturbed by roads or other industrial infrastructure. In the past 30-70 years, there has been no industrial logging in these areas.

CONTROLLED WOOD
Controlled wood refers to materials from acceptable sources that can be mixed with FSC certified materials to produce FSC mixed label products.

SUPPORT LOCAL WORKERS
Pay attention to workers’ rights, and incorporate the core labor requirements into the system to protect workers’ rights and interests.

FSC is committed to improving the global forest management situation and encouraging forest owners and managers to follow social and environmental best practices through certification.
The increasing demand for FSC certified products makes forest owners realize that businesses and consumers like products from well managed forests. Such incentives bring direct benefits to forests, such as the protection of biodiversity, indigenous rights, workers’ rights, and areas of environmental or cultural significance. FSC has established a link between forests and final consumers to ensure that products with FSC labels bring the highest benefits to society and the environment.
Mission & Vision
Our Vision
The world’s forests can meet the social, ecological and economic rights and needs of contemporary people without compromising those of future generations.
Our mission
FSC is committed to promoting the management of the world’s forests to achieve environmental suitability, social benefits and economic feasibility.
Suitable environment
Environmentally appropriate forest management ensures that forest biodiversity, productivity and ecological processes are maintained while utilizing wood and non wood forest products.
Socially beneficial
Forest management that is beneficial to society helps local residents and society enjoy long-term benefits to the greatest extent, and also encourages local residents to maintain forest resources and abide by long-term management plans.
Economically feasible
Economically feasible forest management means that forest operations are organized and managed to ensure that sufficient profits are obtained without generating economic benefits at the cost of sacrificing forest resources, ecosystems or affecting communities. By trying to market the best value of forest products, we can reduce the tension between the demand for full commercial profits and the principle of responsible forest operation.
Principles and standards
FSC has formulated 10 basic principles and corresponding standards to guide how to conduct forest management, so as to meet not only the social, economic, environmental, cultural and spiritual needs of contemporary, but also future generations. The FSC certification carried out worldwide has realized these basic principles.
Principle 1: Compliance with the law
Principle 2: Workers’ rights and conditions of employment
Principle 3: Rights of indigenous peoples
Principle 4: Community relations
Principle 5: Benefits from forests
Principle 6: Environmental value and impact
Principle 7: Business plan
Principle 8: Monitoring and evaluation
Principle 9: High protection value
Principle 10: Implementation of forest management
